Globe valve, also known as cut-off valve, is the most widely used valve. The closing principle of the globe valve is that relying on the pressure of the valve stem, the sealing surface of the disc and the sealing surface of the valve seat are closely fitted to prevent the flow of the medium.

When fully open, the sealing surface of the gate valve is less eroded by the working medium than the globe valve.

3. Different sealing performance: The sealing performance of the gate valve is poor, and the globe valve has the characteristics of good one-way sealing effect, so it is also useful in the case of preventing the reverse flow of the working medium.

4. The working principles are different: the work of the globe valve is a rising stem type, and the handwheel rotates and rises together with the valve stem; the gate valve works by rotating the handwheel, and the valve stem moves upward.

5. Different installation methods: when the globe valve is installed, the medium can enter from below and above the spool, while the flow direction of the gate valve has the same effect from below and above. The gate valve has no requirement on the direction of import and export, and the globe valve has specified inlet and outlet.

6. The flow and function are different: the gate valve requires full opening, and the globe valve does not require full opening. Globe valves are generally used for pressure flow control, and gate valves are used for isolation.
